#15: Changing Alexa Wake Word
I wanted to change the wake word to Duke, after researching my possibilities I had found a promising one; https://snowboy.kitt.ai/. Where I could record my voice and change that one out with the Alexa example wake word. But after trying and trying I could not get the Duke wake word to implement. Then I tried the Alexa way, but to my disappointment I do not have access to that functionality, because I am working on my own device and not an official device. Other persons who have tried to change the wake word do not recommend it because there is a chance that the server will not react anymore.
Other problems I had with my Alexa is that my JBL box is too big for Duke to hold so we tried a little speaker, resulting in not hearing much. Because the speaker has no way to go louder, while connecting this speaker to my laptop he does go louder. This is because my laptop has an intern amplifier for music. While the Raspberry Pi does not have this. So I am changing out to another music box, that is small enough for my Duke to wear.
